Many places in the world value knowledge. In the UAE, education is king. For the greater good of its citizens and the development of the country The Ministry of Education updates its system to keep up with a Western World curriculum. The current system in place at this time is the four tier system that covers 14 years of education. Both primary and secondary schooling is granted to all UAE citizens.

Those who aren't citizens go to private school instead and have to pay between 3,000 and 20,000 Dh a year for tuition. With 88 private schools run by The Ministry of Education the chances of getting a job in education are pretty good. It's important to note that if you are on staff at a private school, you will receive free or reduced tuition for your child/children as long as they attend the school you work at.

This, along with other benefits, makes Dubai an attractive place to look for education jobs. So what types of positions are available you ask? There are jobs available in the arts, music, science, engineering, technology, commerce, management and sports. There are also positions open for vocational teachers, special ed teachers, tutor (private), program coordinator and academic counselor.
Public schools teach in Arabic while private schools teach in English, so you should carefully consider your language skills as part of your application process. Private schools also use a different course syllabus than the public schools do. This means that the position requirements are going to vary. The educational qualifications are going to vary depending on the job profile.

Also Arabic is the spoken language in Dubai so knowing how to speak it is going to be pretty important even if you teach at a private school that teaches in English. All teaching jobs are going to require at the very least a bachelors degree in the subject for which you intend to teach. If you plan on getting a job in a college of university the education requirements will be higher.

If you get a job in a vocational training center you are going to need documentation saying you are qualified to teach your specific subject. To begin the process of looking for work check each school's website for job listings. They will list all of the specific requirements for the position that are open. There are also several classified listings available on the internet for you to look into.

Another option is to shop for a recruiter. They make sure you get to Dubai, they see to it that you have a residence even before you arrive, they find you work, and they can handle any visa problems you might run into. Not all recruiters are legitimate, though. Some just take your hard-earned money and then vanish into thin air. To avoid this, do not waste a second of time on a recruiter that wants you to pay in advance.

Try to ask others or search message boards for recommendations. The research and time you put into this will mean the difference between being robbed and being employed. Dubai education jobs offer a number of opportunities that can't be found anywhere else. If your educational career could use a boost, polish your resume and start searching for jobs in Dubai.
